Last month I shared an awesome video from The Ben Graham Centre For Value Investing.
Today, I bring to your attention a video from a passionate proponent of value investing who also happens to be a professional money manager and self confessed Ben Graham fan.
Arnold Van Den Berg is The Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Manager, Principle and Founder of Century Capital management.
Van Den Berg has an interesting family history and in today’s video he shares his firm’s value orientated approach to stock market investing.
For example, Van Den Berg uses the well known valuation ratios such as price to earnings, price to sales, price to tangible book value and price to cash flow. But he also asks his team of professionals to consider the economic headwinds that have the potential to reduce or increase earnings in the future, both near and long term.
As always with these sorts of videos, I suggest that you arm yourself with a pen, piece of paper and your favourite hot drink – you might just pick up one or two key pieces of information that may prove useful. Enjoy.
