There are many essential attributes that successful value investors possess. But I like simplicity (just take a look at some of the value investing strategies being tested on this blog).
One thing I’ve noticed about my psychology is that the simpler something is, the more I can accept that it’s the truth, whether it’s the truth or not. This observation has forced me to conduct or review extensive research in the field of value investing.
Sometimes the amount of evidence gathering this entails has been brutal but necessary.
It’s perhaps why I like the matter-of-fact way Klarman goes about explaining the two most essential attributes successful value investors possess.
I know of no other straightforward explanation of the fundamental attributes that an individual needs to posses in order to succeed at following the value discipline.
Thanks Seth 🙂
